This Spring, The Langham, London unveils a substantial program of restoration and refurbishment that has taken place over five years costing the remarkable sum of £80 million. Originally opened in 1865 as Europe’s first ‘Grand Hotel’, the painstaking work on this iconic London landmark has created 380 luxurious guest-rooms and suites, 15 function rooms, including the historic Grand Ballroom, new public areas and the dazzling Palm Court, famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born.
To mark the hotel’s re-awakening and the occasion of its 144th anniversary on 10th June 2009, the date set for its grand gala celebration, The Langham, London is offering a complimentary night’s accommodation in one of its new Grand Rooms. Guests will need to stay a minimum of two consecutive nights paying ‘Best Available Rate’ to qualify, for stays between 1 May – 31 August 2009. Guests are also invited to mark the occasion with a complimentary glass of Champagne per person in Palm Court.
