The May Fair Bar Stirs Up Fashion Week with Signature Designer Cocktails

Shaken, not stirred is certainly the bar-keep mantra around London, but come Fashion Week The May Fair Bar—at the May Fair; official hotel of Vodafone London Fashion Week and renowned playground for London’s most stylish—will offer everything from muddles to twists with a collection of cocktails designed exclusively for London Fashion Week.

The LFW Designer Cocktail Collection is a collaboration between the May Fair Bar’s expert team of mixologists and LFW’s leading fashion houses including Antoni & Alison, Alice by Temperley, Mark Fast, Corrie Nielsen, Olivia Rubin and Holly Fulton.As glamorous as the designers themselves, these cocktails look to push the boundaries behind the bar in the same way their namesakes push them on the runway.

The Alison half of the Antoni & Alison duo, for instance, is inspired by Alison’s love of all things English and strong old fashioned perfumes such as Rose, Lilly of the valley, Lavender and Parma Violet. Pairing rose water and Grey Goose vodka with lime juice, Gomme syrup, and rose petal garnish, the cocktail is pure elegance in a glass.

On the other end of the spectrum is Holly Fulton’s self-titled creation. A twist on the Holly’s beloved Whiskey Sour, the cocktail blends the playful aesthetic of her Spring/Summer 2013 collection (with pastel colored sweet garnish and a bubblegum flavor profile) with the simple sophistication of Macallan’s 10 year old whisky, garnishing the dichotomy of Fashion Week with a maraschino cherry.

The LFW Designer Cocktail Collection will be available from September 6 – 23 at the May Fair Bar. Prices: $21 per cocktail.
