The Ranch at Rock Creek to Open Summer 2010

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

The Ranch at Rock Creek, set to be one of Montana’s premier luxury ranches, will celebrate its grand opening in June 2010, following a soft opening in January. Situated on 6,400 picturesque acres to the southeast of Missoula and west of Bozeman, The Ranch at Rock Creek offers guests an unparalleled luxury escape, while also providing an authentic Montana ranch experience.

Guests have their choice of rustically elegant accommodations, ranging from nine luxury suites in the Granite Lodge; the couples’ Trapper Tent, a unique half cabin, half tent accommodation complete with private hot tub; the five-bedroom Bear House and the three-bedroom River House. Finally, the intimate River Camp tents provide a unique experience under the big Montana sky, offering four family tents and four tents for couples. Whether for families or as a couple’s getaway, guests are able to take full advantage of the Ranch’s spectacular setting while enjoying the rustic charm of these luxury tents.

Each of the rooms and tents blend Western antiques and traditional décor with the modern amenities and comforts that guests expect from a five star resort. The lodge rooms are inspired by an old railway station hotel, and are a great option for bridal groups or couples who wish to be at the center of ranch life.

Serving as the heart of the ranch, Granite Lodge also houses a communal great room, intimate dinning room, 2,000 square foot spa and the Silver Dollar Saloon, complete with a four-lane bowling alley, dance hall and movie theater.

The full service spa features five treatment rooms and expert therapists to offer a relaxing massage after an adventurous day on the ranch, or a pre-wedding day of beauty for those indulging in the ultimate destination wedding. The spa will debut the latest product line from Red Flower, an organic luxury beauty and spa line, and offer guests a tranquil retreat.

After a day on the ranch, guests work up a hearty appetite and Executive Chef Joshua Drage’s gourmet adaptation of traditional ranch fare does not disappoint. Drage’s culinary program is in keeping with the Ranch’s philosophy, one of simplicity, authenticity and comfort. The ingredient-driven cuisine is enhanced by the integrity of local Montana producers, ensuring the cuisine remains honest, bold and healthy; which truly defines life in Montana and on the ranch.

With the natural bounty of Montana as the backdrop, guests at Rock Creek can partake in a wide range of activities and adventures to complete their ranch vacation. Rock Creek has long been considered a fisherman’s paradise, and ranch guests have access to over four miles of this pristine trout stream for either guided or unguided fishing. Additionally, the property boasts a number of hiking, biking and riding trails for guests to enjoy Montana’s natural beauty and wildlife. Sporting clays shooting, archery and paint ball are also available.

The Ranch at Rock Creek is about and hour and a half southeast of Missoula in western Montana. Rates at the ranch are per person, per night, and inclusive of accommodations, meals, beverages (including spirits, beer and wine) and all activities. Spa treatments, off-ranch activities, custom wines and liquors and gratuity are not included.
