Three of the finest motor yachts in The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals’ Charter Fleet impressed brokers with their Chefs’ exquisite food stylings, their crews’ superior service and their Captains’ hospitality at the 21st annual MYBA Charter Show in Genoa, Italy, May 4-8. The 140′ Monaliza, the 115′ Harmony and the 120′ Impulsive all earned high marks at the event, which kicks off the Mediterranean luxury charter season.
“Despite lighter-than-normal show traffic, the charter broker attendance on board The Sacks Group’s yachts on display and at the events held by our vessels was excellent,” said Jennifer M. Saia, President and Charter Specialist of The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals. “All three yachts did a wonderful job; in particular, the contest and luncheon hosted by Harmony were the talk of the show.”
The Sacks Group’s Ali Kaufmann and Jennifer M. Saia,with prize-winning charter broker Isabella Moncada di Paterno on Harmony Chief Stewardess Justine on Harmony organized a game for more than 20 charter brokers that sent them to all corners of the yacht to sniff small bottles from the Wine Aroma Bouquet Kit. The prize for the broker who guessed the most scents correctly was a necklace featuring an elegant crystal charm. Isabella Moncada di Paterno of Moncada Hispania in Palma de Mallorca was the lucky winner. The game was followed by a flavorful meal prepared by Chef Cameron featuring a delicious mix of exotic cuisines.

From the show’s opening night to its final hours, 24-knot motor yacht Impulsive made quite an impression. First, the yacht hosted a kick-off cocktail party featuring Stew Julia’s mojitos and Chef Massimo’s Italian canapés. On the last day, Impulsive treated brokers to an elegant four-course luncheon. Both events gave the brokers an opportunity to take a tour with Captain Alberto Batani and view the exciting upgrades made during the yacht’s major 2008 refit.

Lobster salad with meaty medallions shaped in the form of clever crustaceans highlighted the popular charter broker luncheon on board Monaliza during the MYBA show. The brokers in attendance complimented Chef Terry Miller on his imaginative presentations. Monaliza’s classic red-and-gold décor and detailed woodwork, meticulously maintained by the crew, also drew appreciative comments from the guests.

“The fantastic effort that the captains and crews of all three boats put into their events at the MYBA Charter Show in Genoa should be repaid by increasing their bookings this summer,” Saia said.
