Galatina, Italy – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
It took three years of planning and two years of work to restore late 18th-century Palazzo Gorgoni, now available to rent exclusively through Think Puglia (the palazzo had been previously divided into 12 apartments/offices for private use). Located in the heart of a lovely Baroque town, the eight-bedroom villa has been meticulously and luxuriously brought back to life with stunning results.
The property seamlessly blends the original character and history of the building with contemporary design in exquisite fashion. Interiors also reflect the international tastes and travels of the owners: handmade Murano lamps from the 1960s (all four are perfectly preserved, a rarity); an African throw from the end of the 1800s; Moroccan carpets/rugs, purchased personally from Marrakech; French furnishings from the late 1700s. In addition, there is also collection of pictures, installations and paintings by contemporary artists and the modern sofas are all Edra (ultraluxe Italian furniture designer). Along with eight well-appointed bedrooms, Palazzo Gorgoni features an art gallery, roof terrace, pool courtyard, gym and wellness area.
When you think think Italy, Think Puglia. Pure Italian elegance resides at the Palazzo Gorgoni, find it today.
