London, UK – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Dabbous has been hogging column inches ever since opening in January, and remains one of the most sought-after tables in London. Making a booking demands patience, or friends in the right places.
Located just north of Soho, Dabbous is the first solo venture for chef Ollie Dabbous, formerly of Michelin-starred Texture, and award-winning mixologist Oskar Kinberg, onetime bar manager at the exclusive Cuckoo Club.
Spread over two levels, Dabbous comprises a dining room and basement bar. Both areas have a manicured industrial design, with a chic Brooklyn/East Berlin vibe—think exposed brickwork, sheet metal and copper pipes offset by candles and natural woods.
Dishes are served in small portions, with a focus on clean flavors and simple presentation. In the bar, Oskar concocts some flashy cocktails, with highlights including the Dillusion (Bombay Sapphire gin, elderflower cordial, cucumber, dill, lemon and sugar), and a saké-based creation using plum saké, Bacardi Superior rum, dandelion and burdock, kaffir lime, manuka honey, lime and egg white. You’ll also find all the classic cocktails and a selection of bar snacks. The bar can be booked for private parties, and as for the restaurant, best of luck.
