The world’s tallest performing water spectacular – The Dubai Fountain – has been officially launched in Dubai, UAE. An awe-inspiring choreography of lights, music and water dance as 22,000 gallons of water are jetted 500 feet (150 metres), into the air, creating an amazing spectacle for guests of the 63-storey The Address, Downtown Burj Dubai, the luxury five star hotel which directly overlook the Fountain.
Set on the 30-acre BurjDubaiLake, the fountain is 900 ft (275 metres) long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It has been designed by California-based WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Over 6,600 WET Superlights – the most advanced incandescent large fountain lights available today – and 25 colour projectors create a visual spectrum of over 1,000 abstract attractions. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be seen from over 20 miles away, and will be visible from space making it the brightest spot in the Middle East, and quite possibly in the entire world.
The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the show repertoire including Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili and the signature piece of world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye).
The Address Downtown Burj Dubai offers magnificent views of The Dubai Fountain, with guests enjoying the spectacle from their rooms and hotel restaurants. The Dubai Fountain is set to be a visitor attraction unparalleled in the region. It is just one of the exciting offerings in Downtown Burj Dubai – the mega-project of Emaar Properties which also encompasses Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest tower and The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination.
