Vomo Island, Fiji—Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Situated on a privately owned, 225-acre island in the South Pacific, Vomo Island Resort lies 15 minutes north (by seaplane) of Fiji’s Nadi International Airport. Soft, powder-white sand rims the entire island, Mount Vomo rising majestically on its eastern side. Host to the ultra-romantic beachfront proposal on the last season of The Bachelorette, Vomo, and its four-bedroom Residence, might induce some déjà vu. At around $4,950 a night and sleeping up to eight, the resort’s top suite has an open-air feel and contemporary Fijian décor with English walnut dark-wood floors and sloping bamboo plywood ceilings. The main pavilion touts two bedrooms with private, full-size bathrooms, a living room with a state-of-the-art entertainment system and Wi-Fi, a fully stocked stainless steel kitchen (bring on that private chef) and indoor and outdoor dining areas. But that’s not all: Each of two additional pavilions has its own bedroom and bathroom with a private outdoor shower. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with sunset canapés and champagne in the al fresco, beach-facing lounge, and a 24-hour butler is, of course, on hand for the length of your stay. When Elle Macpherson visited, she kept her figure in swimsuit shape with laps in the private pool.
