San Francisco, California—Reported by Elite Traveler, the Private Jet Lifestyle Magazine
German jeweler Wellendorff will open its first North American boutique in San Francisco’s Shreve & Co. on October 29th, 2010.
A separate enclave within the Shreve Post Street store will feature viewing areas for the company’s entire collection of baubles, which include colored turning rings and silky golden rope necklaces and bracelets. A coffee bar and furniture and display cases imported from Germany grant the space a sophisticated European ambiance.
Each Wellendorff piece is handcrafted by master goldsmiths in Pforzheim, a small village on the edge of the Black Forest known as the Golden City, and signed with a diamond “W.” Led by the fourth generation of the Wellendorff family, the jewelers, whose motto “Wahre Werte” means “genuine values,” have been providing ornaments for European and Asian nobles and fine jewelry connoisseurs since 1893.
