XOJET, the leader in private aviation today unveiled its first television commercial during the Tennis Channel’s coverage of the 2012 US Open Tennis Championships (USTA). The four commercials include three 15-second spots and a 30-second commercial that showcase real XOJET pilots preparing one of XOJET’s customized Challenger 300 jets for take-off. The commercials were filmed at the Landmark Aviation’s Hangar 5 in Oakland, California, the historic sight of female pilot Amelia Earhart’s launch more than 75 years ago. The commercial was created by the industry award-winning independent director and writer Jeff Iorillo and filmed by director of photography Cliff Traiman.
The XOJET commercials will appear throughout the Tennis Channel’s coverage of the 2012 US Open (August 27 – September 9, 2012). The 30-second XOJET commercial will also be showcased at the upcoming Aspen Jazz Festival in Aspen, Colo., on Sunday, September 2nd, of which XOJET is an official sponsor.
XOJET is one of the fastest-growing private aviation companies in history. On August 13, 2012 XOJET announced that it achieved over 55% year-over-year growth in on-fleet flight hours during the first half of 2012. During the same period, the US private aviation industry in whole contracted, flying 4% fewer hours according to data from the Federal Aviation Administration.
