Thanks to six years of research and development, the Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon Westminster Perpétuel watch is one of the most complicated pieces ever produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre. It is the brand's fifth Gyrotourbillon (an escapement with multiple-axis tourbillons rotating at different speeds). This model was particularly difficult for the brand to create because it is 15 percent smaller than any other version, a feat of miniaturization that took three years. The new movement, Caliber 184, consists of a staggering 1,050 pieces and offers constant force (constant energy from full power to end of power), a perpetual calendar that can be set forward or backward, and a minute repeater with a retractable pusher that sounds the time using Westminster chimes with four gongs.

Jager-Lecoultre is one of the few watch manufactures that has full management over its production process; creating, developing and decorating each of its timepieces within its own workshops. The brand has set new benchmarks in the watchmaking industry through this meticulous process, having patented over 430 inventions and created no fewer than 1,300 calibers. Masters of complication, Jager-Lecoultre embrace long-standing history but infuse it with originality as evidenced by the uniqueness of its minute repeater, the ticks created by this mechanism are so sensual that it earned the Maison the title of The Sound Maker. The recent Master Hybris Artistica Caliber 945 Atomium redefined time as well as sound. Combining complication with the constellations, the watch features a zodiac calendar, sidereal time, minute repeater and the celestial Cosmotourbillon flying tourbillon. Other notable collections include the Duométre line with a single regulating organ, the Hybris Mechanica that boasts transparent mechanism and the Rendez-Vous collection that epitomizes class, elegance and spontaneity.
