Don't let the simple look of this watch fool you. The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante movement, automatic caliber PF051, is quite complex and represents the first time that a Rattrapante (flyback) hand is being used as a GMT hand instead of its traditional use in a split-second chronograph. The hand indicates a second time zone and then, when no longer needed, flies back to its resting position beneath the home-time hour hand. It has a patented complication and is crafted in stainless steel with a platinum bezel.

One of the younger brands in high watchmaking, Parmigiani Fleurier was founded in 1996 by Michel Parmigiani and the Sandoz Family Foundation. Evolving from a small company focusing on table clocks and unique pieces into a manufacturer that designs and creates 99 percent of every single component of its 33 movements in-house, it has become a favorite of discerning collectors for its unusual complications and distinctive style. The newly launched Tonda PF collection incorporates some of Parmigiani Fleurier's most distinctive complications including the Micro-Rotor, high frequency chronograph movement and an almost flush dial. The annual calendar within this watch also works to display a retrograde date and the three models within this line are available in a still and platinum knurled bezel or crafted entirely from 18ct rose gold.
