From its Jubilee anniversary collection, this sophisticated watch with a solid-gold blue/gray dial marks the firsttime that IWC has combined a constant-force tourbillon with a moonphase display. In fact, it has integrated a constant-force mechanism into the tourbillon escapement to ensure the delivery of power is consistent, whether the movement is fully wound or as the power reserve depletes. This promises incredible accuracy. Powered by the in-house, hand-wound 94805 caliber, the watch has a power reserve of 96 hours, and that indication is displayed between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock on the stunning blue dial. The moonphase display — offset in a subdial at 1 o’clock — is so accurate that it will only need an adjustment once every 577.5 years. Thanks to a transparent sapphire crystal caseback, you can view the fine finishings of the complicated movement. The platinum watch is finished with a black alligator strap by Santoni and is created in a limited edition of 15 pieces.
