Just in time for summer, Upper East Side hotel The Surrey has unveiled its newly designed rooftop including a private garden in collaboration with Dom Pérignon. The garden, featuring green vines, lush greenery and burgundy-colored roses, is launching in coordination of the release of Dom Pérignon’s Rosé Vintage 2006 and will be there throughout the summer season.
The rooftop garden overlooks lush Central Park and the rest of the Manhattan skyline and provides a sophisticated space for New York City’s poshest hotel guests and and The Surrey’s Patron’s Club members to relax while sipping on the new rosé vintage. On the roof, sleek black tables are spaced throughout for an elegant seated atmosphere. Café Boulud (one of chef Daniel Boulud’s acclaimed New York City-based restaurants) has created a special pairing menu for The Surrey and will feature foie gras terrine; fresh hamachi tartare; and shrimp toast.
Not only guests get the opportunity to sip on the champagne house’s rosé, but other Moët Hennessy cocktails will be served. Drinks include: the Muddled Surrey, made with Belvedere, St Germain, raspberry and mint; Shiso Unusual, their take on the Mint Julep featuring Hennessy VSO, and whiskey; Rousing Margarita, made with Volcan Tequila, Cointreau, mango juice and spices, among others.
For guests wanting to dive deeper into the world of Dom Pérignon can choose from two packages on offer. The first is the #PrivatelyRosé Package, where guests will have a reserved table on the rooftop and receive a bottle of the new rosé and special menu; and then Dom Pérignon Guided Tasting, where you can taste all of the vintage-only champagne brand’s new releases with a brand ambassador while enjoying Café Boulud’s tastings.
If you’d like to experience The Surrey and Dom Pérignon’s rooftop bar, but aren’t a hotel guest, you can inquire about a Patron’s Club membership by emailing: patrons@thesurrey.com. The rooftop opens daily starting at 5pm.
