Grand Velas Journey: Itinerary Highlights
Days 1-4
Your Mexican adventure begins via private jet from the US to Cancún. You’ll be staying four nights in the lavish Grand Velas Riviera Maya resort nestled beside the Caribbean Sea. From here, you will enjoy all the wonders of Mexico’s famous Yucatan Peninsula, including a private tour of the most famous Mayan ruin, Chichén Itzá, and diving at the region’s underwater museum.
Experience a lunch like no other as you venture 60 feet underground in one of the region’s breathtaking cenotes, where a bespoke three-course gourmet meal will be waiting. Lunch will be accompanied by a tasting of ancestral drinks, including Mexico’s finest bacanora, sotol and tuxca.

Touch down on Mexico’s Pacific coast, where the Presidential Suite at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit resort will welcome you, complete with private oceanfront terrace and 12-person Jacuzzi.
Special experiences will range from the Wixáritari Journey, a private micro-adventure to visit the ancient holy site of Altavista in the hills of Nayarit, to fishing with a resort chef who will personally prepare a meal with the day’s catches.
Day nine will see you jetting to Mexico’s top wine region for an unforgettable day in the stunning Valle de Guadalupe. Escorted by vintner Pedro Poncelis Jr., you will visit esteemed vineyards Monte Xanic, Viñas de Garza and Casa de Piedra for private tastings before heading to the wine terraces of D’Poncelis to make your own wine. The experience will be completed with dinner and a wine pairing in the middle of the vineyard from chef Sidney Schutte of two-Michelin-starred restaurant Spectrum.
Days 9-13
Your last four nights will be spent in luxurious sophistication at the Grand Velas Los Cabos resort. The 5,451 sq ft presidential suite features an expansive oceanfront terrace with spacious plunge pool and a Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope to spot whales and other marine life in the adjacent Sea of Cortez.
The Sierra de la Laguna mountains will be the backdrop to a one-day hike, where you’ll spot native species, ancient rock formations, flora and fauna, and learn about the Pericúes, the first aboriginal inhabitants of the area. This will be followed by a multi-course dining experience complete with an awe-inspiring light show under the stars.
Your voyage would not be complete without a visit to the resort’s Frida restaurant for your chance to indulge in the world’s most expensive taco. The $25k culinary masterpiece showcases premium ingredients like langoustine, Kobe beef and Almas beluga caviar.
