Lufthansa has announced two exclusive offers for passengers selecting the airline’s renowned Lufthansa Private Jet service. Lufthansa’s Private Jet provides point-to-point access to more than 1,000 destinations in Europe and the Russian Federation, including seamless transfers to and from transatlantic flights arriving at the group’s hubs in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Zurich (SWISS).
With Lufthansa Private Jet’s “Winter Special 2010” travelers receive a fare discount of up to 20 percent, including 10,000 award miles from Miles & More, when booking a Cessna Citation CJ3 (small-size category) or the modern Business Jet Cessna Citation XLS+ (mid-size category). The additional mileage points count as status miles as well as HON Circle miles for each passenger. Miles & More status members can also look forward to the 25 percent Executive Bonus on the miles earned. This special discount is available to destinations in selected travel zones for flights through December 31, 2010.
The ‘Lufthansa Private Jet’ promotion enables passengers who connect to other Lufthansa flights to customize the special offer by selecting either a 30 percent discount on First or Business Class tickets or a free upgrade from Business to First Class when tickets are purchased in conjunction with a Lufthansa Private Jet segment. These unique packages are available on travel booked and originating from Canada, the U.S., or Mexico.
“For more than five years Lufthansa has represented the pinnacle of private jet travel, providing passengers flying for business or pleasure with unparalleled quality and individual service tailored to their specific travel requirements,” said Jens Bischof, Vice President The Americas for Lufthansa. “We know that many business travelers are finding it hard to justify the use of a private jet for their travel needs in the present economic environment, so we are offering this promotion to make it easier for them to try out the service and see for themselves how cost- and time-effective a private jet can truly be.”
Lufthansa launched its exclusive Private Jet service in 2005. By maintaining its own fleet, the airline is able to provide flexible, on-demand bookings. Dedicated service team members oversee the entire travel experience, including the booking, catering and in-flight entertainment preferences, private limousine services to and from the airport, and transfers to and from the private jet for those connecting via a commercial flight.
