Puptial exchange
Members of the pet set are barking “I do” at Trump SoHo, which has turned into the place for canine weddings in New York.
Pampered pooches and their doting pet parents can choose from a woof wedding ceremony at SoHi, located on the 46th floor and featuring sweeping skyline views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and Freedom Tower; the Manhattan event spaces on the third floor; or an al fresco affair on the covered Spring Terrace showcasing the landscaped Urban Plaza.
In addition to spectacular catering and décor, the Trump SoHo events team assists with fun details like a dog-height treat table, securing an officiant for the bow vows and reception recommendations at local dog parks.
Ultimutt perfection
Petsetters staying at The Point aren’t expected to dress in black tie for dinner like humans are on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but they can expect the same fancy treatment as their owners at the former home of William Avery Rockefeller.
Whether it’s with a bottle of Bowser Beer and freshly baked homemade cookies served in custom-made ceramic bowls upon arrival, chef-prepared salmon or chicken for dinner upon request, a bowl of refreshing Frosty Paws doggie ice cream at turndown or pet life jackets for boating excursions, The Point goes out of its way to please pampered pets staying at the Relais & Châteaux property that dates back to the Great Camp Era and sits on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks.
Sofie’s choice
Petite pooches checking into L’Auberge Del Mar, a luxurious, 120-room retreat north of San Diego and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, receive a gift bag that reads “Sofie’s personal guest” and contains goodies like Honest Kitchen gourmet treats, a water bowl that reads “champagne” and a feeding bowl that reads “caviar.”
On certain days, Sofie, a four-year-old French poodle, is around to personally greet her four-legged guests, who can frolic freely at nearby Dog Beach.
The concierge at L’Auberge Del Mar can arrange services such as dog walking, sitting, grooming, training, playtime, counseling and just about anything else your furry friend may need.
