Elite Traveler is pleased to provide as much information as possible to our readers and website visitors about the latest news from Los Cabos. Below is an update from Snell Real Estate, a luxury property company in Los Cabos.
Dear Friends of Snell Real Estate,
I am moved beyond words by the outpouring of support for our community as a result of Hurricane Odile. As all of you know, our community was devastated by the hurricane that struck just 11 days ago. While trees have fallen and windows have shattered, the community has rallied in such a way that makes me proud to call Los Cabos home. Despite all of the tragedy, there have also been numerous acts of kindness, generosity and humanity. The pieces are already coming together in order to rebuild Cabo and make it stronger than ever.
Many of the professionals that you work with, your realtors and friends, have gone above and beyond in support of the community – helping local families, donating food and meals, offering charging stations for cell phones, helping with water delivery and filtration systems and so, so much more. They have worked tirelessly, without electricity, without water – as they’ve checked on homes and helped their adopted hometown. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Snell Real Estate’s realtors are the best of the best.
The clean up and restoration efforts are continuing to improve. On a daily basis, I receive report after report from those whose power is being restored. CFE has sent in thousands of workers and are restoring power at record speeds. The Seven Seas Restaurant at the Cabo Surf Hotel, Nik San, Retro Burger and a handful of other restaurants have re-opened their doors. Walmart and Mega are more than half stocked and are fully operational; as are other grocery stores. Hotels like Esperanza, The One&Only Palmilla and Las Ventanas will be announcing their re-opening days soon. We encourage you to watch their individual facebook pages.
The commitment from the Mexican government to rebuild Cabo has been evident, as President Enrique Peña Nieto has visited our area several times since the storm. Additionally, the commitment from some of our local developers is making a difference daily in our community.
As for Snell Real Estate, we remain dedicated to the community; dedicated to the homeowners who have listed, sold and entrusted us with the representation of your properties. Your loyalty and commitment to your realtors and our brokerage is appreciated beyond words – with your patronage and support behind us, we know that Los Cabos will soon be back on its feet. We will report back soon regarding our office hours. In the interim, please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know if you have any questions regarding damage or repair of your homes; we are here to help you.
Many have asked about ways to help. At this point, we recognize that there are many options circulating among social media and we ask that you first and foremost check in with your Snell Real Estate realtor; as they will be able to give you suggestions for immediate relief. At the end of this email, you will find a series of links that we hope you will find useful.
We will continue to be in touch. Together we can rebuild this incredible community. In the meantime, plan your next trip to Los Cabos – we can’t wait to see you.
