While Fort Lauderdale is all about yachts this weekend, nearby Bal Harbour is the place to be for automotive enthusiasts and watch collectors. Through November 5, luxury retail mall Bal Harbour Shops will host its Collectors Weekend, showcasing special timepieces from top watch brands as well as exciting cars.
Home to some of the most upscale fashion, jewelry and watch boutiques in the Miami area, Bal Harbour Shops will feature rare and limited-edition timepieces from 14 of its watch brands. Of the timepieces on display, two were named to the Elite Traveler list of Top 50 Watches 2017 — Bulgari Octo Finissimo and Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon 8 — and will be especially impressive to see up close. Graff will feature its new Eclipse Tourbillon, and from Hublot, the limited-edition Big Bang Unico Red Sapphire will be showcased. For ladies, high-jewelry house Buccellati will highlight a limited-edition Tulle handmade watch with 881 diamonds and engraved bezel and dial in yellow and white gold, while Chanel will feature its Première Camélia Skeleton watch. Other watches to note include the Patek Philippe Ref. 5230 World Time from Tourneau, Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight Nuit Lumineuse, Chopard LUC Perpetual Chrono and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked. Dolce & Gabbana, FP Journe, IWC and Panerai will also present exquisite timepieces on site.
Following the in-store events, Saturday and Sunday will welcome the Exotic & Vintage car show to Bal Harbour Shops. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to see the newest exotic cars, vintage automobiles and high-performance supercars. The spotlight will be on the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary and Horacio Pagani’s Huayra BC.
