With renditions of La Vie en Rose nearly always ringing through the city streets, music is no doubt at the heart of Paris. But an evening at the Opéra Bastille is much more luxurious way to experience Paris at its most melodic. This October, Le Bristol Paris partners with upscale travel agency La Fugue to offer guests a package centered on an evening at Giuseppe Verdi’s Don Carlos.
Begin with a private flight for four from New York on October 27, arriving in Paris in time for dinner. Stay in a Deluxe Room at Le Bristol, complete with with original Louis XV and Louis XVI-period furniture and views over the courtyard and bustling rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. But make sure not to overpack your suitcase — the package includes a visit to the Louis Vuitton atelier, so you can choose your perfect opera outfit when you land. On October 28, breakfast at the hotel is followed by carré d’or seating at the Opéra Bastille, just east of the hotel.
Guests will take in a performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Don Carlos — a five-act opera recounting the tragedy of Don Carlos (played by Jonas Kaufmann) performed in the same style as the original 1867 opera. The story delves into jealousy, betrayal and the 16th-century politics of the period to make for an enthralling performance.
Rates for the package including private jet transfer from New York begin at $80,201 per person. Flights are also available from London ($12,284 per person), Geneva ($12,284 per person) and Moscow ($335,316 per person).
Le Bristol Paris is located at 112 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris, France. To book the opera package, contact reservations.lebristolparis@oetkercollection.com, +33 1 53 43 43 00. For more information, please visit oetkercollection.com.
