Online shopping continues to expand, but not every retail experience is best done virtually. Where images of bags and shoes may show enough detail to find their way into your online shopping cart, it doesn’t always suffice when it comes to fine jewelry. There’s something to be said for carefully selecting a piece in person with time to appraise. Known for natural fancy colored diamonds and colored diamond jewelry, Leibish & Co has expanded its fine jewelry brand from the web to a showroom in New York City.
“Today, fine jewelry can no longer have one physical location,” said Leibish Polnauer, president of Leibish & Co. “It must remain in the cloud, available to everyone regardless of where they are in the world. However, Pierre Cartier taught us that Fifth Avenue is the center of the business world. He bought his legendary store on the corner of 52nd and Fifth for nothing more than a double strand pearl necklace plus $100 cash. So when we got the offer on a fantastic piece of property with four windows overlooking the Fifth Avenue, we didn’t hesitate for a moment. Even with a virtual brand, people need a place to try on the jewelry, meet us face-to-face and experience Leibish first hand. We’re so excited to be able to offer our new private appointment service to everyone living in, visiting and enjoying the incredible city of Manhattan.”
Since its founding in 1979, Leibish & Co has specialized in colored diamonds with both fancy and ideal cuts in various hues, clarities and sizes set. Leibish & Co focuses on Argyle pink and canary yellow diamonds, acquiring stones mined in Australia, Africa, India, and Russia from conflict-free sources complying with UN Resolutions. All Leibish & Co diamonds and jewelry come with GIA, Argyle, IGI, or in-house diamond certificates.
