October 5th marks the global celebration of the movie icon, James Bond. To celebrate James Bond Day and the fact scenes of the 1971 Bond Movie Diamonds are Forever were filmed in here in the City of Diamonds, the Pulitzer Amsterdam is giving guests the chance to Live Like James Bond for the weekend, with a James Bond Martini themed week in collaboration with Sipsmith gin at the hotel’s decadent bar.
Over two nights, guests who book the Live Like James Bond package will stay in one of the hotel’s recently renovated Collector’s Suites, with private limousine transportation, private boat access, a VIP tour of Gassan Diamonds, a three-course dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Jansz and a classic Bond martini at the Pulitzer Bar. During a private boat tour guests are shown sites such as the Skinny Bridge and Reguliersgracht 36, which feature in the movie. And during an exclusive after-hours tour at Gassan Diamonds, guests can discover the significance diamonds have to Amsterdam’s history.
The Pulitzer Bar’s James Bond Martini Theme Week is being held in partnership with the London gin distiller Sipsmith featuring a “Shaken Not Stirred” menu including the famous Vesper cocktail that’s seen throughout the books and movies. Having recently reopened after a major renovation, the hotel blends traditional Dutch architecture and craftsmanship with modern design to create a space that’s both luxurious and stylish. And this is combined with a privileged setting overlooking the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals at the heart of Amsterdam’s Unesco World Heritage historic center.
The two-night Live Like James Bond package will be hosted on October 6th and 7th, 2017 at Pulitzer Amsterdam, and can be booked up until September 23rd for rates starting from $647 per night. The James Bond Martini Theme Week runs from October 2nd to 8th at the Pulitzer Bar.
