Panerai waited for the perfect moment to unveil its L’Astronomo Luminor 1950 Tourbillon Moon Phases Equation of Time GMT watch in the US, and that moment was at The St. Regis in New York on October 10, exclusively at a private dinner for the Elite Traveler audience.
Upon entering a private room, spectacular centerpieces of spinning Panerai watches were on display, marking the grand debut of one of its most anticipated pieces. To begin the dinner, guests toasted with a glass of Glenmorangie 175th Anniversary Single Cask Bottling before enjoying an appetizer of burrata salad, grilled bread, fig mostarda and arugula.
Luxury Editorial Director, Kristen Shirley, introduced Panerai’s US Brand President, Giovanni Carestia, who gave a brief overview of the Panerai brand. He then passed the L’Astronomo watch around to guests, who were some of the first to see the L’Astronomo watch in person.
The main course was served with the Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1989, and Carolin Ruwe of Moët Hennessy spoke briefly about the expression before guests tucked into mouthwatering dessert. To finish off the evening, guests tried the final Glenmorangie expression, Signet, before concluding a beautiful — and delicious — evening.
