Caroline Constas’s whimsical resortwear pieces are designed for jetting off to Greece or sitting poolside in Beverly Hills. Weightless cotton, bright prints and a carefree aesthetic are perfect for your next warm-weather getaway. The young designer tells Elite Traveler the inspiration behind her Resort 2019 collection.
Inspiration: “Mykonos. It’s always been a destination for my family and me. There are very different ways you can experience it, you can go the route of the party scene, but there are a lot of secluded, private areas where you can experience the typical island life. I love it because it has a lot of sentimental value — I’ve been going there since I was quite young and there’s so much diversity in terms of activities and things to do. You can spend one day living the typical island life, or go into town where all the action is and go to a great restaurant.”
Hotel: “The Belvedere Hotel. I’ve been going there since I was a child and what I love about the hotel is the location — whenever I’m in Mykonos I love to stay in the town because part of what I love is getting ready, having a drink, watching the sunset and then walking into town. The rooms are beautiful, the view is spectacular. It’s also where I started sketching a lot as a child. I was always inspired there.”
Must-do activity: “Swimming at secluded beaches away from the crowds during the day, and walking around the town at night.”
Beach bag: Prada Small Plex Shopper, $1,040, Bergdorf Goodman in New York, +1 212 753 7400, prada.com
Always bring: “Our Mykela bikini in a variety of different prints and colors, and a playlist which I add to throughout the vacation of songs that are distinct to the region or reminiscent of my time there.”
