In the spirit of a special Japanese tradition known as Hanami, Sake No Hana Restaurant has created a fantastical haven of pink cherry blossom, and culinary delights to match.
‘Hanami’ is the centuries-old Japanese tradition of celebrating the fleeting blossom season and Floral Designer Donaldo Radovich of Veevers Carter says it’s all about socializing and enjoying nature with friends, family and colleagues.
Radovich explains the concept behind his and Tabitha Allen’s floral design adorning the pop-up bar below:
To honor the tradition this season, the St James’ Street bar is transformed into a pop-up cherry blossom garden, with floor to ceiling blossoms inspired by the ‘sakura’ flower.
To complete the multisensory experience, limited edition cocktails and bento boxes have been created, and on April 26 guests will be treated to a sake ceremony known as “Kagami Biraki” complete with Japanese Taiko drummers.
Sakura at Sake No Hana runs from 7th April and 19th May.
