The W London has just announced the opening of its latest bar and lounge – The Perception. Featuring a number of minimalist references to the city’s love of fashion, music and design, the new area will focus on serving perfectly matched cocktails and food.
To coincide with the launch of their new lounge, the luxury hotel will be also hosting the first in its new Dining Series. Focusing on bringing together some of the capital’s most renowned culinary talents, the Dining Series events will host a number of well known names as well as some of the city’s most exciting up and coming talents. 
Taking over The Perception for its first evening is Magnus Reid, owner of C.R.E.A.M in Shoreditch and Legs in Hackney, the latter of which won a Bib Gourmand just four months after opening. A feat made even more impressive by the fact that Reid has no formal qualifications in cooking and had previously worked as a tattoo artist.
Reid’s unusual route in cooking and innovative techniques will sit against The Perception’s modern interior, with its striking black and gold color palette, with spherical light sculptures, abstract artwork and giant glitter ball. The new bar will also be decked out with bespoke leather sofas from Soho’s long-standing tattoo parlour Frith Street Tattoos.
After the dinner the night owls amongst you will be able to take advantage of the W London’s interactive DJ booths and series of modern revolving sofas with tiered seating and folding partition walls designed to give guests a sense of intimacy.
