Russian ballet has earned a reputation for excellence around the world, and one of the best ways to see this is at the annual XIII International Ballet Festival.
Hosted at the famous Mariinsky Theater, the festival was launched in 2001 and continues to attract ballet lovers from all over the globe as well as the very best in modern ballet. Spread over ten days, the festival not only showcases the talents of notable Russian stars, but also features performances by illustrious foreign dancers; famous former participants include Agnes Letestu, Johan Kobborg and Nikolai Tsiskaridze. One of the highlights of the show is the opening ceremony, which features a gala concert performed by the stars of international ballet.
