The Best Fine-Dining Delivery Services in New York

Even fine-dining restaurants, who may have never dipped into the delivery category before, are offering delivery.

As the Covid-19 crisis upheaves our daily lives, many restaurants have been forced to temporarily close, uncertain of their future. Because many of these small businesses operate on such thin margins, companies are relying on delivery services (so you can practice social distancing but still enjoy your favorite dishes) to keep their businesses afloat. Even fine-dining restaurants, who may have never dipped into the delivery category before, are offering delivery services, private catering dropped off at your door and on-demand meals in both New York and the Hamptons. Elite Traveler rounds up the best restaurants to order from right now.

Charlie Bird & Pasquale Jones

Delicious Hospitality Group

Part of Delicious Hospitality Group (which also runs Legacy Records, Easy Victor, Parcelle and Ada’s Place), Charlie Bird and Pasquale Jones are now offering family dinners for pickup or delivery via delivery app Resy or the website. For New York City residents only, choose from Pasquale Jones chopped salad and lasagna bolognese, Charlie Bird’s farro salad, roasted chicken and cacio e pepe, or both. Also part of DHG, Parcelle (the first retail concept from the group that sells wine) is also selling and delivering boxes of food in partnership with Baldor Specialty Foods. You can pre-order food from local purveyors and farmers, from dried goods, fresh vegetables and snacks, and have it delivered to your door. Parcelle ensures that all preventative measures recommended by the CDC (like washing hands and sanitizing) will be made in advance of deliveries and only 50 deliveries will be made per day. Parcelle also is selling a bundle of six bottles of wine, because how else would you get through staying at home for so long?

Carbone & Sadelle’s (Major Food Group)

New York-based hospitality group, Major Food Group is behind some of New York City’s most iconic and popular restaurants, like Carbone, Sadelle’s, Santina, The Lobster Club, Dirty French, The Grill, ZZ’s Clam Bar, Parm, The Polynesian, Don Camillo, Golda’s and The Pool. Of these restaurants, Carbone and Sadelle’s are currently open for delivery via Caviar. Sadelle’s delicious sticky buns and salmon lox can be delivered or picked up, while Carbone’s mouthwatering pastas can be delivered straight to your door. 

Estiatorio Milos

This fine-dining Greek restaurant is currently offering menu classics, including Greek spreads, lamb chops and wine from the meal-delivery service, Grubhub. They also offer salads, grilled veggies, octopus and other Greek delights for those who need their Milos fix at home.

The Mark Hotel

Although The Mark Hotel’s The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges restaurant has temporarily closed its doors, the hotel announced via Instagram that it has crafted a to-go menu. Order your favorite Jean-Georges recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner like truffle pizza, pastas, sandwiches, healthy sides and smoked fish and wholesome breakfasts.

American Bar

One of New York’s buzziest new restaurants in West Village, American Bar is loved for its elevated classics served with high-end sides, like caviar. Order its popular grass-fed burger, engagement chicken, salmon or yummy sides, like mac n’cheese via meal-delivery app, Caviar.

Sant Ambroeus

Beloved Italian restaurant Sant Ambroeus (with three locations in New York, one in Southampton and one in Palm Beach) is delivering via Caviar and Postmates and offering pick-up from each of its locations. In the wake of Covid-19, Sant Ambroeus created a SAHG Employee Crisis Fund to help the restaurant’s employees. This employee crisis fund goes towards SAHG’s employees and their families. SAHG also operates Felice and Casa Lever restaurants.

Katz’s Delicatessen

Since 1888, Katz’s Delicatessen has been a New York staple. During these trying times, indulge in some matzo ball soup and pastrami to get you through. Katz’s delivers throughout NYC and ships worldwide if you aren’t in delivery range of this NYC favorite.

Russ & Daughters

Russ & Daughters is still offering pick-up and delivery for your favorite salmon and lox, and more. Manhattan hours are 9am to 4pm and will allow only a few customers in at a time to avoid overcrowding, and the Brooklyn location is pick up only (the retail counter will be closed to walk ins). The restaurant will also deliver via Caviar. The restaurant, which was founded in 1914, is a small business and currently accepting donations for its staff.

Levain Bakery

Something sweet to brighten up your day can be found at Levain Bakery. The bakery is now offering takeout and delivery in NYC and will ship nationwide. Order Levain’s famous chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate chocolate chip and dozens of our flavors via non-contact delivery on Caviar, from its four Manhattan locations, Harlem or Wainscott, New York.


Many purveyors supplying Michelin-starred restaurants are offering products at wholesale cost to consumers. Regalis is one of them; they supply truffles, caviar and rare-foraged edibles and are offering a 25% discount for home deliveries.


The one-starred Japanese sushi restaurant Satsuki (the 10-seat sushi counter part of Suzuki restaurant) is creating omakase boxes available for take out starting at $50.
