Summer may be gently easing toward its end and the Paris Olympics have closed with a ceremonious bang, but the sporting calendar is far from over with the US Open set to captivate from August 26.
The premier tennis event takes place over two weeks at Queens’ Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for two weeks, with last year’s champions Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff both vying to defend their titles.

Naturally, seeing some of the greatest living tennis players in the world in action is the main appeal, soaking up the courtside atmosphere is as much part of the fun – and a drink in hand is essential. While Wimbledon has Pimm’s, served with a side of strawberries and cream, Stateside, it’s all about the Grey Goose Honey Deuce.
A refreshing blend of premium Grey Goose, fresh lemonade and sweet raspberry, the cocktail has cemented its status as the undisputed drink of the tournament, with over 2.25m Honey Dueces having been stirred and served since its debut at the US Open over 18 years ago. A record 450,000 were served up last year alone.
Not got tickets for this year’s tournament? Not to worry – Grey Goose has shared the recipe for its signature US Open cocktail for you to enjoy at home, with bonus points for how easy-peasy it is to whip up, and with minimal ingredients too.
