Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time to switch off and enjoy a getaway with your nearest and dearest. And that is exactly what an estimated 37 million Americans are set to do over the long weekend a huge leap in numbers compared to last year’s holiday when Memorial Day weekend travel hit an all-time low. Those looking to treat their loved ones to an extra special trip this year should look no further than the One&Only Palmilla Memorial Day celebrations.

The iconic Los Cabos resort on the tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula offers a spectacular backdrop for an unforgettable long weekend, with festivities running from May 26 to May 30. Guests are invited to get into the party spirit with delectable dining experiences, live performances and so much more while enjoying the plush surroundings of one of Los Cabos’ most exclusive five-star destinations.

The highlight of the One&Only Palmilla Memorial Day celebrations comes in the form of the beachside Memorial Day Brunch on May 30th. Guests will indulge in the signature tastes of the resort’s four restaurants with dishes inspired by local Mexican fare as well as influences of Japan and everywhere in between. Live performances and a pop-up bar pouring champagne cocktails will also add to the fiesta vibe, whilst a dedicated play area will keep the little ones entertained.

As well as the Memorial Day Brunch, a host of other gastronomic delights await, including the unmissable Caymus Wine Experience. Taking place on May 28th at the resort’s Seared eatery, guests will enjoy a five-course menu created by renowned Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (of New York’s two-Michelin-star Jean-Georges). Vongerichten’s exquisitely crafted dishes will be paired with specially selected vintages from the beloved Napa Valley vineyard, Caymus.

Other culinary experiences include Japanese Delights on May 26 and a Tapas & Mixology Pop-Up on May 29 which will explore the country’s ancient cuisine.

Guests staying at the resort will have their choice of chic suites and luxurious casitas, while those looking for unrivaled privacy and space in the most sumptuous of settings may decide to opt for one of the resort’s breathtaking villas. The four-bedroomed Villa Cortez features a private beach while the coveted Villa One offers a hilltop setting with the ultimate infinity pool.

When not lapping up the culinary delights, families, friends and couples alike can enjoy a host of activities from snorkeling and yacht charters to unwinding at the serene One&Only Spa.
