In a seismic move for the brand, Waldorf Astoria has announced the launch of Waldorf Astoria Residences Dubai Downtown, marking its first standalone residences project outside of the US.
Signed by Hilton and Dubai real estate developer NABNI Developments, the project is set for completion in 2028 and will occupy a prime spot in Dubai’s bustling Downtown neighborhood. Home to hotels, malls, restaurants and more, the area acts as the city’s thriving cultural hub, with the world-famous attractions such as the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall both in walking distance of the property.
Waldorf Astoria Residences Dubai Downtown is planned to cover 1.5 acres, with Carlos Ott Architects brought in to handle the design, and the award-winning hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates bringing the interiors to life. Early renderings show slick, minimal interiors with oversized windows framing the skyline views beyond.
