Set to transform Boston’s skyline, this soon-to-be-completed tower will begin welcoming residents in early 2019. Upon completion, the 742-ft structure will be New England’s tallest residential building, with interiors as luxurious as the views are far-reaching. In creating this prominent 61-story address, developer Carpenter & Company worked with accomplished architect Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and Gary Johnson of Cambridge Seven Associates to give the unique triangular tower a granite-and-glass podium base, helping it blend in with the historic streets of the Back Bay neighborhood; landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh designed 5,000 sq ft of inviting green space around the base. Managed by Four Seasons, the tower will have 20,000 sq ft of amenities inside, including the 50th floor’s Club Lounge, designed by Thierry Despont (who also did the lobby). One of the building’s three duplex penthouses is still available and is said to be the most expensive property ever listed in Boston. The space has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a study and dining room within its 7,300 sq ft, along with a 570-sq-ft terrace.
