The Restaurant
A Casa do Porco, translating to "The House of the Pig," offers a playful yet sophisticated homage to pork in Sào Paulo's city center. Chefs Jefferson Rueda and Janaína Torres revisit flavors from their childhood, showcasing refined techniques with every part of the pig. The restaurant embraces a nose-to-tail philosophy, evident in its tasting menu, "We are all Meat and Bone," which also has a vegetarian counterpart. The informal space features an open kitchen and small grocery store, emphasizing in-house production of everything from pasta and bread to sausages, all made without preservatives. While A Casa do Porco does not currently hold any Michelin stars, it has earned a Green Michelin Star for its sustainability efforts. The restaurant also produces vegetables at the family's farm in Sào José do Rio Pardo.
