The Restaurant
Nightbird, situated in San Francisco's Hayes Valley, is chef Kim Alter's intimate restaurant that celebrates California's diverse cultures and natural bounty. Conveniently located near the city's theaters, Nightbird offers a tasting menu experience that reflects Alter's creativity and skill, using seasonal, local ingredients. The adjacent Linden Room, a swank cocktail bar, provides the perfect prelude. While Nightbird was awarded a MICHELIN Plate in 2022, it currently does not hold any Michelin stars. The presentations are consistently artful, with dishes like roasted duck breast and tender confit arranged with summer squash and a bright compote of gooseberries, plus a chaser of spiced duck broth.
