The Restaurant
Torre del Saracino, cradled between the sky and sea in Vico Equense, offers a culinary experience suspended in time. The restaurant resides in a fourteenth-century tower that was once part of the coastal defense system, lending a palpable sense of history to the dining experience. From the coast road, hairpin bends lead down to Marina di Equa, where the ancient fortified tower stands mere meters from the sea. Chef Gennaro Esposito's vision has transformed this space into a temple of taste, earning the restaurant two Michelin stars. Guests can begin with an aperitif accompanied by imaginative antipasti, a prelude to the excellent cuisine that awaits. The dining rooms, decorated in a vintage style, offer views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, setting the stage for a memorable tasting menu. Esposito, one of Campania's best chefs, creates beautifully presented dishes full of color and vitality.
