The Restaurant
Rutz, located in Berlin Mitte, offers a modern dining culture that emphasizes a sensual combination of nature and fine dining. Chef Marco Müller sources ingredients from local farms, fishermen, and breeders. The restaurant's transparency is symbolized by a two-story wall panel showcasing ingredients like spruce needles and kombucha. Rutz was honored by the Michelin Guide in 2024 as the only restaurant in Berlin with three stars, as well as a green star for sustainability. The restaurant's interior features handcrafted walnut elements and high-quality leather upholstery. Opened as a wine bar in 2001, Rutz has transformed into a three-star restaurant focusing on modern dining across two floors. The wine rack from its early days remains on the ground floor. In the summer, the idyllic terrace, complete with vines, vegetable bushes, and garden herbs, provides one of the city's most beautiful settings.
