The Restaurant
A distinctive purple door, slightly hidden in an alley near Alba's main square, marks the entrance to Piazza Duomo. Ascend to the first floor, where the dining room unfolds with pink walls adorned with frescoes by Francesco Clemente. Owned by chef Enrico Crippa and Barolo producer Ceretto, the restaurant offers an innovative tasting menu that highlights high-quality local ingredients with Piedmontese traditions and Japanese techniques. Piazza Duomo currently holds three Michelin stars. Crippa's passion for plants shines through in each course, incorporating vegetables, flowers, and herbs harvested daily. The restaurant boasts an extraordinary wine program, divided into two extensive lists: "Solo Piemonte," paying homage to the region, and another celebrating wines from around the world. The efficient staff ensures a memorable experience, making the three hours dedicated to the tasting menu pass effortlessly.
