The Restaurant
Del Cambio, a Turin institution since 1757, offers a dining experience steeped in history and culinary innovation. Located on Piazza Carignano, opposite the site of Italy's first parliament, the restaurant has long been a favorite of dignitaries and celebrities, including Cavour, the first Prime Minister of Italy, who had a dedicated table. The meticulously restored Risorgimento room features 19th-century decor, while another dining space offers a more informal setting. Chef Matteo Baronetto draws inspiration from Piedmontese tradition, crafting imaginative dishes that respect the region's culinary heritage. Del Cambio holds one Michelin star, a testament to its high-quality cooking. The wine list is extensive, with a focus on Barolo and Barbaresco labels, housed in an impressive underground cellar.
