On Thursday, March 23, The Luxury Technology Show took place at The Metropolitan Pavilion in New York. Produced by Rand Luxury, the showcase displayed the best of high-end electronics and technology for the affluent consumer.
Retail executives, media and entertainment industry professionals gathered to experience the latest innovations in a variety of categories, including photography, smart watches and wearable tech, robotics, 3D printing, home and business automation, personal audio, home appliances, technology-advanced performance automobiles, wellness and fitness devices. Brand ambassadors were onsite to demonstrate, and even premiere, high-end products to eager guests who were greeted with prosecco and the latest issue of Elite Traveler upon arrival.
This year’s Presenting Sponsor, Turing Robotic Industries, unveiled the Turing Phone Appassionato, the world’s first Amplified Intelligence Android mobile phone. Thiel Audio also introduced the newest addition to its line of speakers as BlackBerry displayed its Keyone and Ono presented its smartphone 3D printer. Echobox, Hifiman and Vinci were featured among the other audio exhibitors, while Sirin Labs showcased its ultra-secure phone and LightStim displayed its LED bed for light therapy. For luxury transportation, a wing-doored, black Tesla Model X stood in the center of the room, in the company of the electric Stromer bike.
Those in attendance enjoyed a variety of premium beverages and signature cocktails from True Vodka, Forever Young wine, Southern Tier Distilling Company, Cusqueña lager, Iron Smoke Distillery and Alacrán Tequila. Boss Tweed’s Saloon served as the official culinary sponsor, while Macaron Bites provided sweet treats.
