As the brand’s first foray into the world of computing, Porsche Design has collaborated with technology giants Microsoft and Intel to create the highly anticipated Book One.
Unveiled in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress in February, the Book One has received rave reviews and proved itself as a serious contender in the ever-evolving technology market.
The Book One is the world’s first convertible and detachable two-in-one and merges sleek form and high function, highlighting the brand’s focus on technology and innovation. It comes with Windows 10 Pro, Microsoft’s most up-to-date, innovative operating system, and a 5MP camera with infrared sensor that allows for safe and fast login via facial recognition using Windows Hello.
A standout feature is the ability to flip the screen 360 degrees into tablet mode, which can also be detached for portable use. The patented hinge, designed entirely by Studio FA Porsche, allows this rotation and detachment, and the well-crafted hinge and stainless steel cogwheels were inspired by the transmission of a sports car. The silhouette uses milled aluminum housing with a matte anodized surface finish and subtle Porsche Design branding.
