Pioneering Antarctic travel company, White Desert, has teamed up with British luxury watch company Bremont to create a bespoke women’s timepiece.
Only available to intrepid travelers that take part in White Desert’s ‘Emperors and South Pole’ itinerary, the watch has been specially designed as a memento for those returning from the icy continent.
The eight-day trip begins in Cape Town, where an intimate group of up to 12 guests gathers to take a private jet to White Desert’s Wolf Fang Runway in Antarctica. During the action-packed itinerary, guests will visit Atka Bay to marvel at the breeding colony of emperor penguins and their newly hatched chicks, as well as climbing, biking and abseiling in the ruggedly beautiful terrain.

Of course, guests can do as much (or as little) as they like, and the newly added wellness pod and sauna at the camp is the perfect setting to relax after a long day on the frosty slopes.
Ensuring this incredible adventure will never be forgotten, the Bremont White Desert women’s watch features a bespoke dial set over a silhouette map of Antarctica and topped with domed anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. In a nod to the multiple time zones that converge at the South Pole, the watch is set to GMT but enables world time functionality with a date at 6.00.
The timepiece, which is based on the Bremont ladies SOLO-34-AJ, boasts a case made of stainless steel with an optional Bezel claw set with 60 glittering 1.35mm VVS FG Diamonds. Prospective owners can order the White Desert Bremont ladies watch on either the 16mm stainless steel bracelet or the calf-skin leather strap, both of which are water resistant to a depth of 328 ft.
It’s not the first time White Desert has teamed up with the British watch manufacturer to create an exclusive timepiece for its clients. In 2020, the luxury travel company unveiled a sports watch based on the Bremont ALT1-WT World Timer which also features a crisp white dial etched with a map of the South Pole.
