Spa of the Week: The Spa at Encore Boston Harbor

Encore Boston Harbor is the sister property of Encore Las Vegas and the first Wynn casino and resort in the US outside of Vegas. The billion-dollar luxury resort and casino first opened in June and since then has been making waves in the Boston area and beyond.

Encore Boston Harbor borders the City of Boston and is located in Everett, Massachusetts just five miles from the airport, allowing Bostonians and East Coasters the chance to game in a luxury environment without having to travel to Atlantic City, New Jersey or Las Vegas.

Boasting the same hospitality and luxury service as Encore Las Vegas does, the Boston outpost will have more than a dozen bars and nightlife destinations, including restaurants with locally sourced flair, think fresh Atlantic seafood and local dishes such as lobster rolls.

The Spa is a destination in and of itself and is New England’s largest spa. The facility covers nearly 26,000 sq ft, featuring 17 treatment rooms, relaxation areas, a Tranquility Lounge, steam room, dry heat sauna, hot-and-cold plunge pools, salon and fitness center. It has a similar sense of peace and quiet that you’ll find at its sister property in Las Vegas. Enjoy the luxe amenities, like European-style furnishings and artwork and spacious relaxation areas.

Its treatment menu is inspired by techniques and traditions from around the world with plenty of exclusive treatments. We recommend the Good Luck Ritual, a Wynn Resorts exclusive treatment, based on the five Chinese elements. The treatment comes with a custom massage, peppermint foot treatment, hand therapy and a botanical scalp treatment. The treatment helps to promote happiness, luck and prosperity.

Other Wynn-exclusive treatments include the Himalayan Singing Bowl Therapy and Massage, combining massage with reinvigorating your natural energy flow; and the Ayurvedic Retreat that includes a chakra-balancing massage and scalp treatment. Pre- or post-treatment, take to the fitness center to try out the hotel’s very own Peloton bikes or try out a fitness class, such as yoga, spinning, Pilates or even meditation.
