The Ritz-Carlton Suite, The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad
One of New York’s newest openings, the freshly built 250-room hotel was envisioned to be a temple of up-to-the-minute luxury. Soaring over 500 ft, it has already established itself as a landmark in the exponentially trendy neighborhood north of Madison Square Park.
Design heavyweights were drafted in from start to finish. Rafael Viñoly Architects were enlisted to create the tower’s sleek exterior. Inside, the property’s 270-degree skyline views are no better enjoyed than from an Art Deco-style armchair at the rooftop cocktail bar Nubeluz, designed by Martin Brudnizki.
Meanwhile, on the first floor, Broadway-facing restaurant Zaytinya offers a futuristic take on the Mediterranean by Rockwell Studio.
It is not just the interiors that are notable, with both culinary destinations overseen by famed Spanish avant-garde chef José Andrés (of Washington DC’s two-Michelin-star minibar) and another on the way.
The views continue from the coveted Ritz-Carlton Suite. Located on the hotel’s 37th floor, this sophisticated one-bedroom home away from home takes in The Empire State Building and The Statue of Liberty.
Spanning 2,100-sq-ft, it features a separate living and dining area, bespoke artworks, a private wellness room complete with a Peloton bike, marble adorned bathroom with Diptyque amenities, a media room and a service entrance.
For a larger group, the suite can be combined with one of the hotel’s Empire State double rooms to create a 2,700-sq-ft two-bedroom suite; more than three times the size of the average Manhattan apartment.
Exclusive access to The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge comes part and parcel with the keycard to the hotel’s most exclusive accommodation. Here, guests can tuck into a curated menu by José Andrés and his team in a light-filled interior that draws inspiration from the nearby Flower District.
