Overview

Two ultra-modern towers stand proudly on the edge of one of Hawaii’s most iconic beaches. The towers are home to The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach, which has more luxury suites than any other five-star resort in Oahu, boasting 246 keys.

Every one of those 246 suites offer views of the Pacific, and feature sliding doors that glide open to a generous balcony and welcome in the fresh ocean air.

The chic and minimalist Grand Ocean View, Four-bedroom Suite is the resort’s most spacious at 2,988 sq ft. Decked in blonde hardwood flooring and chalk-hued walls, it offers an air of calm in the midst of an otherwise buzzing Waikiki.

Full-length, double-height windows flood the duplex’s enormous open plan living and dining room with light, as well as panoramic views across the city. Glass doors lead to a sizable balcony (the suite offers 619 sq ft of outdoor space.)

Possessing both style and substance, the fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a marble breakfast counter (with space for five) is a real bonus, as is the eight-person dining table. A staircase crafted of glass and wood leads upwards to three of the suite's four en-suite bedrooms.

If dining out of suite is more your style, the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach will not disappoint. Ten-seater Sushi Sho is one of the hottest reservations in town offering two omakase dinner seatings that treat diners to a chef-selected multi-course menu.

Treatments at the spa are informed by Hawaiian tradition, integrating local elements such as volcanic stones and lomilomi massage, while the two rooftop infinity pools – one at the top of each tower – are not to be missed.

We would also recommend reserving a poolside cabana, which comes complete with its own TV and a stocked mini-fridge.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach

383 Kalaimoku Street, Honolulu, HI 96815, USA

Nestled adjacent to Honolulu’s Luxury Row, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach is a nonchalant yet impeccable resting point to explore the gems of Oahu. While Haiwaii’s largest city is also technically one of the world’s most remote, it doesn’t feel like it in this sleek and stylish beachside outpost. The hotel’s contemporary decor and towering height may feel more city break than a beach escape, but one look at the sweeping coastal view of the Pacific is enough to dispel any thoughts at all.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach blends the convenience of a residence with the indulgence from the services of a luxury resort, meaning if guests decide to ignore their gourmet kitchens for an (or every) evening, they can choose from one of the hotel’s three delectable eateries.
