4 Bedroom Villa, The Resort at Pelican Hill
It’s easy to feel like you have been whisked to a hillside estate in Tuscany when you arrive at The Resort at Pelican Hill. Albeit without the long-haul flight and with vistas tumbling into the Pacific. Terracotta roofs, vaulted ceilings and Renaissance-esque columns are abundant at this Newport Beach icon, inspired by the designs of 16th-century architect Andrea Palladio, immortalized for creating the grandest of Venetian villas of the age.
For the grandest of accommodations at the 504-acre resort, look no further than the 4 Bedroom Villa. Equipped with a team of private staff, the full-size kitchen can be stocked with your preferred items before you arrive and with your favorite movies ready to watch beside the limestone fireplace of the Grand Room. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead to a generous wrap-around ocean-view terrace, primed for savoring the Southern Californian sunshine with chaise lounges and a dining table.
Timeless decor flows throughout the two-story villa which features two primary suites both with generous marble-clad bathrooms, deep soaking tubs and walk-in showers. Meanwhile, the double garage and the pet-friendly policy only add to the residential feel.
With the resort’s villas set within a gated enclave, seclusion and discretion are all part of the appeal. Key holders of the 4 Bedroom Villa have access to the Villa Clubhouse. Reserved exclusively for the resort’s villa guests, it features a pool with cabana-side gourmet dining, a fitness center and a palatial lounge stocked with champagne.
Elsewhere in the resort, you’ll find 36 holes of world-class golf set amidst staggering ocean views and a golf academy led by PGA professionals on standby to fine-tune your swing. The iconic Coliseum-style pool is a must-visit as is the 22-treatment-room Spa at Pelican Hill, which takes its cues from Roman bathing rituals.
Italian influences can also be found on the menus at the resort’s restaurants but for a taste of Southern California head to the Pelican Grill & Bar where chefs prepare oysters, primecuts and lobster from an open kitchen against a dramatic coastal backdrop.
