The Kohinoor Suite is the Oberoi at its most luxurious, offering a generous and flexible space for individuals, groups, and families. Views of the city are one of the suite’s highlights, with floor-to-ceiling windows that run the length of the suite overlooking Marine Drive and the Queen’s Necklace.

The master bedroom includes a private sitting area and an en-suite marble bathroom, along with a treadmill positioned to allow workouts without leaving the suite. A separate living and dining area is designed for both work and hosting, with enough space for meetings, meals, and family stays. A fully equipped pantry and additional powder room add practicality, while a dedicated workspace supports longer business visits. For families or groups, optional interconnecting twin bedrooms can be added.

Bathrooms are fitted with freestanding tubs, high-pressure showers, and Oberoi’s natural-ingredient toiletries. An IoT-based air purification system runs throughout the suite, maintaining consistent air quality and temperature.

Butler service is available around the clock, including female butlers for solo female guests. Comfort is prioritized through details such as pillow-top mattresses, a pillow menu, and 24-hour in-room dining, alongside practical services including express laundry and a well-stocked bar.

ETHS1895 - Kohinoor Suite, The Oberoi, Mumbai

The Hotel

The Oberoi, Mumbai, occupies a rare stretch of seafront along Marine Drive in Nariman Point, placing it firmly within the city’s commercial core while maintaining a degree of separation from the traffic and pace below. Business districts, cultural institutions, and historic landmarks sit close by, making the hotel a practical base for short stays as well as longer visits. The National Centre for the Performing Arts is within walking distance, while the Gateway of India and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus are a short drive away.

Dining is spread across several venues. Fenix operates as the hotel’s all-day restaurant, serving a broad international menu that suits both early starts and late dinners. Ziya, overseen by Vineet Bhatia, focuses on contemporary Indian cooking, with an emphasis on technique. Italian dishes are served at Vetro and Enoteca, the latter also functioning as a dedicated wine space. With more than 1,200 bottles in its cellar, Enoteca is supported by a knowledgeable sommelier team who guide pairings and tastings without turning the experience into a performance.

For drinks, The Eau Bar faces the sea and keeps its menu focused on classic cocktails. The Champagne Lounge, located in the lobby, is quieter and more formal, used throughout the day for coffee and afternoon tea, with live piano performances scheduled in the evenings.

Wellness facilities are designed to fit easily into a busy itinerary. The spa offers a mix of Indian and Western treatments, drawing on Ayurvedic practices alongside familiar therapies, and complimentary yoga classes are offered daily. Outside, enjoy a temperature-controlled pool, while the fitness center is equipped with cardio and strength equipment positioned to face the water.

The Oberoi, Mumbai. offers a series of experiences designed to immerse guests in the city’s sights, sounds, and flavors. We recommend Mumbai at Dawn, a chauffeur-driven tour that begins before sunrise. Guests can watch the flower market come to life as hundreds of thousands of blooms are sorted and delivered across the city. The Spice Trail offers a deep dive into Mumbai’s culinary heartbeat. Led by an Oberoi chef, guests explore the vibrant Lalbaug market, discovering the spices that form the foundation of Indian cuisine. Crawford Market follows, bursting with colorful fruits and vegetables, while the lesser-known Mirchi Galli, or Spice Alley, offers a glimpse of how locals source their essential ingredients.

For those interested in exploring beyond the main tourist sites, the hotel organizes guided walking tours focused on Mumbai’s architectural and cultural history, with stops including Jehangir Art Gallery, Rajabai Tower, the High Court, Mumbai University, and Victoria Terminus, with transport arranged as part of the itinerary.
