The Suite
This suite is Studio Munge's confident statement on Canadian modernism, defined by material integrity and architectural calm. The design relies on a strong palette of walnut and regionally sourced Owen Sound limestone. Entering through the reception gallery, you arrive in a sizable living room furnished with sculptural armchairs and sectional sofas upholstered in soft bouclé and handwoven textures.
A sculptural gas fireplace anchors the center of the living area, complemented by bespoke shelving and collected objects lining the walls. This space flows directly into the intimate dining area and workspace, illuminated by a geometric brass chandelier.
The primary bedroom continues the theme with custom walnut millwork and a plush upholstered bed. Guests pass through a walk-through dressing area before reaching a bathroom wrapped entirely in richly striated stone. This space provides double vanities, a walk-in rain shower, and a soaking tub positioned right next to the window. Every element, from the tailored furnishings to the art selections, reinforces a design language rooted in precision and high-level craftsmanship.
The Hotel
Park Hyatt Toronto sits at the intersection of culture and commerce, steps from the Royal Ontario Museum and University of Toronto. Following a complete redesign, the hotel pairs sleek architecture with warm Canadian materials like white oak and limestone. Rooms are serene and residential in feel, with sculptural lighting and views over the skyline or historic Queen’s Park. The wellness floor features a spa, sauna and fitness center, while the rooftop lounge offers panoramic cityscapes. The result is a calm and elegant base in the city’s cultural core.
