The Suite
This two-bedroom suite takes its design cues directly from the brand's California heritage. The atmosphere is immediately relaxed and airy, achieved through a focus on neutral tones and a layout prioritizing comfort over formality. The suite is well-suited for entertaining or extended stays, featuring a separate living room, a serviceable kitchenette, and a dedicated dining table large enough for six guests.
The serious commitment here, however, is to sound. Guests have access to both a Steinway piano and a Taylor 200 Series acoustic guitar. For playback, the suite is equipped with a high-fidelity Bowers & Wilkins entertainment system. This setup includes tower speakers, an amplifier, and a turntable, complete with a selection of vinyl records. Both sleeping quarters are dressed in Fili D'Oro linens. Practicality defines the bedrooms, which include dedicated dressing areas and full walk-in closets, ensuring ample space for luggage and wardrobe.
The Hotel
Bringing California cool to Manhattan West’s glossy skyline, Pendry Hotels made its New York debut in 2021 with a striking granite-and-glass tower that demands simply attention. The West Coast vibe is unmistakable in the hotel’s design: minimal yet inviting, with warm natural tones and abundant greenery that keep things feeling fresh, never cold. Low lighting form the lobby to the hotel's 164 rooms adds to its effortlessly chill ambiance, like it's barely trying (but, of course, it is). For dining, Zou Zou’s draws inspiration from the Eastern Mediterranean, with flavors from Lebanon to Turkey, while Bar Pendry’s cozy lounge serves up cocktails, and late-night bites are served at Chez Zou into the early hours.
