The Suite
The Shangri-La Suite is an exquisite synthesis of Eastern sensibility and contemporary scale, unfolding across the 17th floor with sweeping view of Toronto’s downtown skyline. Framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, the suite’s living room is anchored by dark leather sofas, ornate woodwork, and silk-panelled crimson walls, rising to a recessed ceiling aglow with concealed lighting. A round dining table beneath a Baccarat crystal chandelier evokes the intimacy of a private salon, complemented by ink-brushed artworks by Wang Xuyuan, lacquered cabinetry inset with chinoiserie motifs and a pantry with butler's entrance. The primary bedroom is introduced through a carved moon gate - a sculptural portal that leads to a four-poster bed framed in carved wood and flanked by silk drapery and deep-toned cabinetry. In the marble-clad bathroom, a soaking tub is positioned before the glass for uninterrupted skyline views, joined by dual vanities, a glass-enclosed rain shower, and access to a private terrace that extends the ritual of bathing into the open air. Completing the primary suite is a walk-in wardrobe with custom cabinetry, a dedicated vanity, and a Peloton bike. A second bedroom, equally refined, offers its own expansive views over University Avenue.
