Bangkok, Thailand – Reported by Elite Traveler, the Private Jet Lifestyle Magazine
Luxury train operator Orient-Express and distinguished 5-star luxury hotels The St. Regis Bangkok and The St. Regis Singapore have announced an exclusive partnership aimed at discerning travelers.
The newly formed partnership will grant privileges and offer a range of unique experiences to guests travelling between the two capital Asian cities of Singapore and Bangkok aboard the timelessly elegant Eastern and Oriental Express (E&O) train.
Since the brand’s first hotel debuted in 1904, St. Regis has developed a long-standing reputation of offering truly personalized experiences to its guests. Likewise, Orient-Express is best known for its quintessential traditions, attention to detail and gracious service.
The first of the partnership initiatives “Relive the Golden Age of Travel with a St. Regis – Eastern & Oriental Express Luxury Package” offers guests a three day journey up the Malay Peninsula and the opportunity to enjoy premium accommodation at both The St. Regis Singapore and recently opened The St. Regis Bangkok at either end of their journey; in addition to welcome drinks upon arrival, indulgent spa pampering and breakfast at both properties.
At both prestigious addresses guests will revel in St. Regis traditions: the St. Regis Singapore will prepare its signature tipple the Bloody Mary – first concocted by bartender Fernand Petiot in the King Cole Bar at St. Regis New York and still as popular today, while at the St. Regis Bangkok, a St. Regis Butler will perform a signature champagne sabering ritual and celebratory toast to the occasion.
There will also be a series of voyages aimed at the most discerning of travelers as part of the St. Regis Aficionado program. These are devised to provide guests with access to extraordinary events and it is St. Regis’ distinctive approach that results in experiences beyond all expectations for a true expression of luxury.
The ‘Caroline Astor’s Expeditions onboard The Eastern & Oriental Express Package’ is one such St. Regis Aficionado experience. It is set to be a remarkable 4-day journey from the 4th to the 7th June 2011 celebrating the artistic visionary, the epicurean voyager, and the passionate connoisseur.
